CANYON, Texas - The Angelo State University Belles volleyball team traveled to Canyon, Texas, to take on the Lady Buffs, defeating them in four sets, jumping to 9-1 in the season and 1-0 in conference.

- ASU and the Lady Buffs fought tooth and nail all throughout set one, neither team pulling too far ahead of the other for a comeback to really take place.
- West Texas would take the set from the Belles, winning 25-22.
- The Belles would take an early lead in set two, 10-6. Makenzie Griffin, assisted by Meghan Parker, would extend the lead to 14-9.
- ASU wins set two on a kill from Griffin, 25-16.
- The Belles go on a three-point streak to get ahead in set three, 6-3.
- ASU and WT would battle back and forth throughout set three when a service ace from Makenna Hanssen would start to turn the tide of the set for the Belles.
- With a kill from Sundara Chinn, assisted by Lindsey Ledyard, the Belles take set three over the Lady Buffs, 25-20.
- In set four, the Belles would continue to trade points with WT until the end of the set, where ASU would begin to pull away with Preston Morgan and Kailyn Gilbreath taking command of the serve to take control of the game and lead ASU to victory over the Lady Buffs.Â
