SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State Belle basketball team takes to the road as they take on two new Lone Star Conference opponents, Oklahoma Christian and Arkansas Fort-Smith.
The Belles are 12-8 overall and 9-7 in conference.

This will be the third time in school history that Angelo State and Oklahoma Christian will have played each other, the last time being on November 17, 2018, where the Belles defeated the Oklahoma Christian Eagles in the Texas Woman's Tournament, 69-62.
Marquita Daniels led the Belles offense as she scored 22 points, shooting 8-16 from the field, 1-5 from the three point line, and 5-9 from the free throw line. Daniels also grabbed three assists and four steals, along with seven total rebounds, three on defense and four on offense.

De'Anira Moore led the Belles defensively against the Eagles, each player grabbing seven defensive rebounds.
This will be the first time in school history that Angelo State and Arkansas Fort-Smith will play each other in basketball. The Lions are 12-10 overall with a 9-7 conference record. The Lions top offensive and defensive player is Mar'Shalia Lollie, who is averaging 10.8 a game, while also grabbing 163 total rebounds for the season so far, 77 offensive rebounds and 86 defensive rebounds. Lollie is shooting 61% from the field and 79% from the free throw line, and is averaging 7.4 rebounds a game for the Lions.
Key Players:
Asia Davis has become one of the main offensive players for the Belles, scoring 23 points over the weekend. Davis shot 26% from the field, 50% from the three point line, and 67% from the free throw over the weekend, also grabbing eight total rebounds, 2 offensive and six defensive, while grabbing three assists and two steals.
Catara Samuel continues to be one of the Belles main defensive players, grabbing 14 total rebounds over the weekend, three on offense and 11 on defense, along with six assists and three steals. Samuel scored 17 points for ASU, shooting 24% from the field, 18% from the three point line, and 50% from the free throw line.
Lana Marov has stepped up in recent games for the Belles and proving her scoring capabilities, scoring 19 points over the weekend, shooting 26% from the field, 14% from the three point line, and 60% from the free throw line. Marov grabbed 18 total rebounds for the Belles, five on offense and 13 on defense, while also registering two steals.
