SHAWNEE, Okla. – The Angelo State University women's tennis team defeated Oklahoma Baptist University on Saturday afternoon, 5-2.
The Rambelles improve to 2-0 on the season.

- The Belles won all three of their double matches with Valentina Gonzalez and partner Ena Ovcina claiming the first point in a 6-1 victory. Dianela Rodriguez teamed up with Anna Schneemann and they retired their opponents by a score of 6-1 to give ASU its second point. Maria Delgadillo and partner Zoe Gubbels rounded out the doubles teams and claimed a 6-4 win over their opponents.
- In singles, Ovcina continued to grab points for the Blue and Gold as she retired her opponent in two straight sets by scores of 6-2 and 6-2.
- Rodriguez finished right behind Ovcina on Court 3, defeating her opponent with ease in two straight by scores of 6-1 and 6-1.
- Leading 4-1 in the match, Gubbels claimed yet another singles point for the Belles with a 6-3 and 6-4 set victory over her opponent to give ASU a 5-1 lead.
- Schneemann snagged the final and match point for Angelo State in two straight sets over her opponent, 6-4 and 6-0.
