WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The No. 14 Angelo State University women's tennis team defeated in-region opponent Colorado Mesa University on Thursday afternoon, 7-0.
The Belles improve to 8-1 on the season and extend their win streak over the Mavericks to 3-0 in the all-time series.

- Angelo State grabbed the first point of the match in doubles play. No. 4 duo Valentina Gonzalez and Ena Ovcina defeated their opponents Kristen Kirby and Laura Alsing by a score of 6-0.
- Zoe Gubbels and partner Virginie Becht closed out the doubles earning the point for ASU on court two with a 6-4 victory over Rebecca Osterberg and partner Maike Waldburger.
- In singles, Gonzalez picked up a point for the Blue and Gold with ease, defeating Kirby on court one in two straight sets by scores of 6-1 and 6-0.
- Ovcina followed closely behind Gonzalez, claiming her singles point in two straight sets by scores of 6-0 and 6-1.
- Gubbels grabbed the fourth point of the match for ASU with a victory over Waldburger by scores of 6-2 and 6-0.
- On court three, Dianela Rodriguez picked up a point for the Blue and Gold, defeating her opponent Osterberg by scores of 6-1 and 6-0.
- Becht finished behind Rodriguez on court six with a win over Halle Romero by scores of 6-2 in both sets.
- Maria Delgadillo clinched the match for the Belles in a tough battle against Carolena Campos, taking set one by a score of 7-5 and claimed set two with ease by a score of 6-2.
