Rome, Georgia – The ASU tennis doubles teams of Valentina Gonzalez and Ena Ovcina, as well as the pairing of Ramitha Irrinki and Ayda Guler, competed this week at the ITA Cup. Both teams qualified due to their performances at the ITA South Central Regional, where Gonzalez and Ovcina defeated their teammates Irrinki and Guler in the finals.

Entering the tournament as the fourth seed, Gonzalez and Ovcina opened their tournament against IUP's Stralka and Munday, with the Belles duo claiming victory 6-2, 6-2.

In the quarterfinals, the were bested by Dovnik and Kozar from Nova Southeastern 6-4, 6-3.

In the back draw, they fell to North Georgia's pairing of Lippert and Jorge 6-1, 6-3.

Unseeded, the pairing of Irrinki and Guler faced off against the Canete twins from Central Oklahoma. The Belles' duo fell in the first round by a score of 6-0, 6-1.

In the back draw, Irrinki and Guler faced the third seed in the tournament, Groth and Berg from Rollins. The third-seeded pairing downed the Belles 6-3, 0-6 [10-6], despite Irrinki and Guler taking the second set from them.

Irrinki and Guler ended their tournament on a high note, defeating IUP's other pairing of Kirchtag and Graydon.

This tournament concludes the fall schedule for the Belles; they return to duals action in the spring semester.
