KINGSVILLE, Texas – The Angelo State men's basketball team won its fourth straight game to start the season, defeating Dallas Christian 110-55 in the final day of the Javelina Classic on Saturday afternoon.
The Rams improve to 4-0 overall on the season, winning two games in each of the last two weekends on the road.
ASU jumped out to an early lead while holding the Crusaders to only seven points midway through the first half. The Rams reached a lead of 32 points in the first half before settling on a 54-23 advantage heading into halftime.
Dante Moses led the Rams with 16 points on the night while adding eight rebounds.
Andi Vrapcani finished with 15 points while
Lathaniel Bastian added 12 points on the night.
The Rams shot 48 percent on the night, hitting 38 percent from three-point range while the defense held DCC to 29 percent from the field.
Bastian finished with a game-high 12 rebounds while
Salisu Yahaya added eight rebounds with five points and
Andre Nunley and
Devaughn Thomas each added 10 points.
The second half continued much like the first with the Rams adding to their lead, eventually go ahead by 55 points as the game came to an end.
The Rams will play their home opener next weekend as they host the Ed Messbarger Classic at the Junell Center beginning Friday, Nov., 26.
