SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State soccer team, the reigning LSC Tournament Champions, open their postseason schedule on the road Tuesday night, traveling to Denton for the second time in ten days to take on the third-seed in the tournament, Texas Woman's.  

In their last match on October 30th, Mariah Griffin and Avery McNeme scored for the Belles as they claimed a 2-1 victory over the Pioneers, which, following a pair of 2-1 overtime losses for the Belles this past week, currently stands as the last time the Belles won.  

McNeme and Valerie Solis have been the two main facilitators for the Belles' offense this season. McNeme has seven goals and nine assists this season, both best on the team, with the nine assists putting the senior in a tie for most in the LSC, while Solis has eight assists as well as four goals this season.  

The Belles defense, led by central defenders Cassidy Hill and Kylie Hampton, as well as goalkeeper Kira Miller, are the anchors of a conference-best defense that has allowed a league-low 14 goals this season.  

The Pioneers enter this match with their past five matches all being decided by a 2-1 scoreline, with the Pioneers winning three times and losing twice.  

The Pioneers are led offensively by Keely Chapman's eight goals this season; the last time she found the scoresheet was in their 2-1 loss to the Belles.
