Rams Sweep Cameron with Offensive Showcase in Game Three

LAWTON, Okla. – The 12th-ranked Angelo State baseball team tallied its first sweep on the road this season as the Rams defeating Cameron 18-2 on Sunday in game three of the series at McCory Field.
 
The Rams improve to 27-6 overall on the season and 22-5 in Lone Star Conference games while the Aggies move to 5-28, 5-22 LSC.
 
After earning a quick run in the game's opening inning, the Rams poured on the runs in the second inning, scoring nine more to take an early 10-0 lead. Jackson Hardy started off the inning with an RBI single to left field before Aaron Walters was hit by a pitch with bases loaded. Nicholas Novak and Nick Seginowich each forced a walk after that for two more runs.
 
Jordan Williams brought in two runs off a single to left field while Parker Bramlett hit a shot to center field to score Novak and Thomas Cain hit a two-RBI single to left field to end the scoring.
 
The Aggies got one run back in the bottom of the inning, hitting a solo home run to center field to make it 10-1.
 
ASU added another run in the third inning as Novak singled to score Walters while Koby Kelton homered in the fourth inning to extend the lead to 12-1.
 
Cameron scored its second run of the game in the fifth, hitting another solo home run this time to left field.
 
Austin Buley started on the mound for ASU, throwing two innings of work with one earned run and four strikeouts. Kyle Moseley tossed 2 1/3 innings in relief, allowing one run with two strikeouts while Jake Morgan and Carson Childers each pitched one inning.
 
The Rams added six more runs in the seventh inning as Bramlett brought in two runs with a single while adding two more off an error by the left fielder. Josh Elvir singled to score Ryan Neitsch before coming around to score on another error for the final run of the game.
 
Walters led the Rams with three hits on the day while Seginowich and Bramlett each had three RBIs and Elvir totaled three runs scored.
 
The Rams will play a single non-conference game against St. Edward's in Austin on Tuesday before returning to Foster Field at 1st Community Credit Union Stadium for a three-game series against UT Permian Basin on Friday.
