DALLAS, Texas – The 12^th-ranked Angelo State women's tennis team tallied its 10^th victory of the season on Friday, defeated DBU 6-1 in Lone Star Conference play at the Arlington Tennis Center.
 
The Belles improve to 10-3 overall and remain undefeated in conference action at 5-0 while DBU falls to 13-4, 4-2 LSC.
 
Maria Delgadillo and Anna Schneemann got things started for the Belles in doubles play, winning their match 7-5 while Zoe Gubbels and Virginie Becht clinched the early point with a 6-4 win.
 
In singles play, Delgadillo made quick work of her opponent, winning in straight sets 6-1, 6-1 to give the Belles a 2-0 lead in the dual. ASU clinched the match with wins at No. 5 and No. 6 as both Gubbels and Becht won in straight sets 6-1, 6-0 and 6-2, 6-1 respectively to go up 4-0.
 
Finishing off the wins for the Belles were Dianela Rodriguez who won 6-1, 6-4 at the No. 3 spot and Valentina Gonzalez who won at top position, 7-5. 6-1.
 
The Belles will continue conference play tomorrow as they travel to face 17^th-ranked Midwestern State.
