SAN ANGELO, Texas – Coming off a 1-1 week on the road, the Angelo State women's basketball team faces Eckerd College for the first time in program history as the Rambelles open their home schedule on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 2 p.m.

- The Rambelles went 1-1 last week, dropping their first game of the season to Missouri Southern before rebounding nicely to down Ouachita Baptist.
- Payton Brown leads the way for the Rambelles, averaging 17 points, 5.5 rebounds, four assists, and two steals per game.

- Tayjanna McGhee-Pleasant rounds out the big four, averaging 13.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
- Madisen Honea scored a career high 12 points against Missouri Southern just to break it the next game against Ouachita Baptist, as she put up 13 points in the contest.
- The Rambelles are averaging 73 points per game through three games, shooting 42.3 percent from the field and 66 percent from the free throw line.
- The 73 points currently ranks as the third best mark in the LSC, four Rambelles rank in the top 15 in scoring (Brown, 6th; Lloyd, 8th; Stephens, 14th; McGhee-Pleasant 15th).
- Brown ranks third in the LSC as she averages 37.8 minutes per game.
- Lloyd averaged 22 points and eight rebounds as she was named the Lone Star Conference offensive player of the week in week one.
- The Rambelles are off to their best start to the season (3-1) since winning five straight to begin the 2018-19 campaign.
ANGELO STATE vs ECKERD COLLEGE
- This will be the first meeting all-time between the Tritons and the Rambelles.
- The Tritons are currently 3-0 on the season and already have quality wins over No. 22 ranked Valdosta State, West Florida, and Lynn.
- Eckerd was ranked No. 11 in the most recent Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) poll for Division II.
- Sofia Persson leads the way for the Tritons, she averages a team high 15.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
- Maya Price and Hannah Wentworth also average double figures, scoring 13.7 and 13.3 points respectively.
- The Tritons are the second team the Rambelles matchup with this season that was selected top of their conference in a preseason poll. Eckerd are part of the Sunshine State Conference (SSC) and received 97 points and seven first place votes to claim the preseason poll position.
