Arkadelphia, Ark. – The Angelo State women's tennis team extended their winning streak to three matches as they close their opening weekend of matches with a 6-1 victory over Delta State.
The Belles made quick work of the Lady Statesmen to clinch the doubles' point, highlighted by
Ayda Guler and
Ramitha Irrinki winning their match 6-1.
On the singles' side,
Valentina Gonzalez made quick work of her opponent with a 6-1, 6-0 victory on line one; the other four singles' matches that played all the way through went to a decisive third set, with the Belles claiming three of those matches.
The Belles are now 3-1 on the season; they return to action on February 24
th and 25
th for a pair of matches in Oklahoma.
