Tahlequah, Okla. – The Angelo State women's tennis team returned to the courts for the first time in two weeks in emphatic fashion, claiming a 6-1 victory over Northeastern State on Sunday.
The Belles won the doubles' point in quick fashion, with
Ena Ovcina and
Valentina Gonzalez on line one as well as
Ramitha Irrinki and
Ayda Guler on line two won their respective matches 6-1 and 6-0 for the doubles' point.
Eva Schwartz, Irrinki and
Mieke Van Deventer all won their singles matches in straight sets while Gonzalez and Guler won their matches in three sets.
The Belles are now 4-1 on the season and close their road trip tomorrow against Southeastern Oklahoma in Durant on Monday afternoon.
