LAREDO, Texas – The 17
th-ranked Angelo State baseball team completed a ninth inning comeback to sweep Texas A&M International, winning game four 11-4 at Jorge Haynes Field on Sunday afternoon.
The Rams have now swept three teams on the road as they improve to 21-5 overall and 19-5 in Lone Star Conference play.
TAMIU got on the board first, scoring off a single to center field in the bottom of the first inning.
In the second inning, the Rams tied the game off a throwing error before
Reese Johnson hit a sac-bunt to score
Jackson Hardy and give ASU a 2-1 advantage.
After a scoreless third inning, the Dustdevils regained the lead, hitting a single down the left field line to score two runs.
Both teams tallied a run in the fifth inning before three consecutive scoreless innings as the Dustdevils took a 4-3 lead into the ninth.

Carson Childers who threw 4 2/3 innings with four runs off six hits and six strikeouts. Earning the win was
Jackson Haga who pitched 3 1/3 innings with only two hits.
In the ninth, the Rams brought in the first of eight runs in the inning, scoring on an error.
