Tyler, Texas - The Angelo State softball team's time in the Lone Star Conference tournament ended after only one game, falling to four-seed Texas A&M-Commerce 3-0 in the quarterfinals.
The Lions started the scoring in the second inning with a leadoff homer off Rambelles' starter
Genesis Armendariz; the Lions would triple their lead in the fifth inning with a two-run home run down the left-field line.
Armendariz allowed five hits and three runs in five innings inside the circle, striking out three and walking four.
Torrey Hogan pitched the final inning in relief, allowing three baserunners and striking out one.
The Rambelle lineup was stifled by Alyssa LeBlanc, who only allowed three hits in a complete-game shutout of the Rambelles.

Lindsey Evans triple in the fourth inning, a
Bailey Martinez single in the fifth, and a
Paxton Scheurer single in the sixth inning were the only hits the Rambelles mustered on the afternoon.
The Rambelles are 38-10 and will learn their postseason fate on the NCAA selection show, scheduled for Monday at 10 a.m. ET.
