SAN ANGELO, Texas – The 25th-ranked Angelo State women's soccer team worked hard to keep a clean sheet, leading to their 1-0 victory over Regis early Sunday afternoon.
The Rambelles improve to 3-0-1 on the season, outscoring their opponents 9-3 through the first three matches of 2022.
The Belles jumped on the Rangers early, having two shots, one on goal, in the first five minutes. The Blue and Gold would total nine total shots in an offensive-minded first half.

Valerie Solis. Solis, grabbing her second assist on the young season.
Neleh Coleman and
Hadley Coronado would put more pressure on Regis late in the half, forcing two saves out of the Ranger's keeper.
Kira Miller, who didn't see much action in the first half, made three saves in period two. Miller earned her second clean sheet of the season and the 30
th of her career.

Breanne Bittick forced two saves in the 87
th and 89
th minutes respectively but were unable to extend the Belles advantage.
"There was a second goal to be found to put this game away late," said Belles Head Coach
Travis McCorkle, "we have got to make teams pay when we get two vs three or three vs three situations."
In the contest, the Belles would register 15 shots, seven on goal to Regis' 10 shots, only three on target.
The Belles host two more in-region opponents from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference next week, Colorado Mesa on Thursday and Fort Lewis on Saturday.
