CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The Angelo State women's tennis team wrapped up their final tournament on the fall schedule on Sunday at the Islander Open.

Singles:
Avery Durham won her first match against Saint Mary's 7-5, 3-6, taking the tiebreaker 10-6 before falling in the semifinals, 6-2, 6-9, she would advance to the 3rd-4th place match against Saint Mary's where she would fall 6-3, 6-1 to take home fourth place in the singles portion of Flight BÂ

Christine Jevicky would fall in the quarterfinals to Texas A&M Corpus Christi, 6-2, 6-4, before advancing through the back draw, where she would record a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Saint Mary's to advance to the back-draw finals of Flight A.

Doubles:
The double pairing of
Eva Schwartz and
Avery Durham would win their first match vs. Saint Mary's 6-2, advancing to the semi-finals against Texas A&M, where they would fall 6-4 and be placed in the 3rd-4th place match against Saint Mary's falling 6-1 to take fourth place in the doubles portion. Â

Ayda Guler and
Mieke Van Deventer lost in the first match of the day to Saint Mary's 6-1, forcing them to the back draw, where they would fall to Saint Mary's 7-5.Â
