• In the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics preseason poll, the Lions are projected to finish fifth in the Conference.
• The Lions return second-leading scorer Kryslyn Jones, averaging 18 points, four rebounds, and one assist this season.
• Last year, Missouri Southern scored 80 points per game while holding its opponent to 70 ppg.
• Missouri Southern leads the all-time series 2-0 over the Belles.

 
Angelo State vs Tampa

• Tampa finished first in the Sunshine State Conference, going 33-2 overall and 19-1 in conference action.
• In the Sunshine State Conference preseason poll, the Spartans are projected to finish first in conference play.
• The Spartans are led by Mya Giusto, who averaged 10 PPG, three rebounds, and four assists a game. 
• The Spartans are averaging 63 points per game while giving up 58.8 points a game.
• Angelo State and Tampa have never played against each other before.
