Canyon, Texas – The Angelo State volleyball team, in their first South Central regional appearance since 2021, advances to the regional semifinals with a thrilling, 3-2 comeback victory over RMAC champions Regis on Thursday afternoon inside The Box at West Texas A&M.
The win is the first for the Belles in the NCAA Tournament since 2021 when they defeated Regis in five sets in the opening round that year.
The two teams split the first two sets, as the winning team in each set won the frame by a 25-17 score line.
The opening set saw the Rangers hit .243 for the set while they held the Belles to a zero attack percentage. The script flipped in set two as the Belles hit .258 to the Rangers' .029.
The third set was one to forget for the Belles as they fell 25-13 to the Rangers, and the Rangers held the lead for most of the fourth set.

Hannah Spencer held serve for the Belles; the Belles would score 11 of the set's final 14 points to tie it at two sets each.
The Belles jumped out to a 4-0 lead in set five before scoring six of the match's final eight points to complete the comeback against the Rangers.
The Belles only hit .109 for the match, their lowest mark in a victory this season.
Three Belles –
Hannah Kinnison,
Evelyn Torres, and
Madi Parrish – led the Belles' offense as each recorded double-digit kills.
Kinnison led all players with 13 kills while hitting .265, while both Torres and Parrish recorded double-doubles.
Torres had 12 kills to go with a career-high 19 digs, and Parrish's double-double was courtesy of ten kills and ten digs.
Laney Dale had 28 assists and libero
Caleigh Enax had 12 digs as the Belles out-dug their opponents 62-55.
The Belles improve to 24-7 on the season; they play the winner of Texas A&M-Kingsville and MSU Denver tomorrow at 5 p.m. in the regional semifinals.
