KINGSVILLE, Texas - A career night from Tayjanna McGhee-Pleasant with 27 points helped the Angelo State women's basketball team escape Texas A&M - Kingsville with a 66-65 comeback victory Thursday night inside the Gil E. Steinke Physical Education Center.
 
The Rambelles Improved to 5-3 on the season and 1-0 in Lone Star Conference play. The Javelinas would fall to 4-4 overall and 0-1 in LSC action.

• The Rambelles went on a 16 to six-run in the game's first seven minutes of action.
• Keniah Williams scored 13 of the 20 points in the quarter.
• At the end of the first quarter, the Rambelles had a 20 to ten lead going into the second quarter.
• The Javelinas went on a 12-4 run lasting eight minutes in the second quarter to bring the Rambelles lead to 29 -27 going into halftime.
• The Javelinas went on a 9-0 run to take the lead 37-29 in the first four minutes of the second half.
• With 34 seconds remaining in the third quarter, the Javelinas would extend its lead to 15, the largest lead of the night for either side.
