The Angelo State football team will host Western Oregon in the final regular season game of the year on Saturday at LeGrand Stadium at 1^st Community Credit Union Field with kick off set for 6 p.m.
 
LAST TIME OUT: The Rams picked up a victory at home last week against Midwestern State, defeating the Mustangs 27-12. ASU tossed for 349 yards through the air while the defense held MSU scoreless in the first three quarters, allowing 254 total yards on the day.

The Rams have not lost a game to the Wolves in the short history, with the first meeting coming during the 2018 season. ASU is averaging 33 points against WOU, earning a 30-7 road victory last year. The last time the Wolves played in San Angelo was during the 2019 season when the Rams defeated WOU 45-20.

PITTS EARNS DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
After collecting nine total tackles, an interception, and half a sack against the Javelinas, Andrew Pitts was named the Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
 
OPENING SEASON DUB:
The Rams scored 28 unanswered points against West Alabama to open the season with a 38-14 win over the Tigers.
 
LSC FAVORITES:
After finishing the 2022 LSC season undefeated, the Rams were selected as the favorites to repeat in 2023, earning the top spot in the conference preseason coaches' poll.
