San Angelo, Texas - After a back-and-fourth contest, the Angelo State women's basketball team fell short in the fourth quarter, losing 75-64 to UAFS in the Junell Center-Stephens Arena Thursday evening.

The Rambelles fall to 6-4 overall, dropping their first Lone Star Conference contest, and now sit 2-1. The Lady Lions improve to 3-6 and pick up their first LSC win, now sitting 1-2 in conference play.

40 MINUTE RUNDOWN
- Both teams went back-and-forth until a layup by Baylee Fincher put the Lions ahead 10-8 halfway through the first.
- In the last twenty seconds of the first quarter, Tayjanna McGhee-Pleasant hit a pair of free throws to bring UAFS's lead to 17-14 going into the second quarter.
- Sawyer Lloyd opened the second quarter with a layup to bring the deficit to one 17-16.
- The remainder of the half was back-and-forth, with Madison Honea hitting a three with just under a minute remaining to bring the score 35-35 going into halftime.
- The third quarter was a physical contest, with the Lady Lions having eight different scorers.
