SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State women's tennis team is back at home this Thursday at 2 p.m. with a match against UT Permian Basin. The Belles also have a match on Saturday against Delta State and will travel to McKinney, Texas.
The Rambelles are coming off a 1-1 weekend, with a 4-2 win against Northwest Missouri and a loss to ninth-ranked Central Oklahoma.
The Belles are 2-1 on the season, beating Hardin-Simmons in the only home match of the season so far.
So far,
Ramitha Irrinki is undefeated in singles play, while
Esther Bowers and
Eva Schwartz are undefeated in doubles play this season.
This is the first of two meetings this season for the Belles and the Falcons, with this match being non-conference.
The Falcons are currently 2-4 this season and are coming into this match with a two-match losing streak.
The Belles have beaten the Falcons every time they have faced each other, having won the previous five matchups.
The last time the two faced each other was at home for the Belles, who won 6-1.
Delta State is 0-2 on the season, having lost to Henderson State and Southern Arkansas.
The Belles have a three-match winning streak against the Lady Statesmen.
