SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State women's tennis team started the spring season off with a 7-0 sweep against Hardin-Simmons in nonconference action on Saturday afternoon.
The Rambelles won the doubles' point quickly, with
Ayda Guler and
Ramitha Irrinki on line one as well as
Esther Bowers and
Eva Schwartz on line two winning their respective matches 6-1 and 6-2 for the doubles' point.
Dianela Rodriguez,
Letizia Corsini,
Christine Jevicky, Schwartz, Guler, and Irrinki all won their singles matches in straight sets.
The Belles are now 1-0 to start the season. They are headed to Edmond, Okla., next weekend to play Northwest Missouri State Friday and Central Oklahoma Saturday.
