SAN ANGELO, Texas- The Angelo State Women's Tennis team claimed another Lone Star Conference match with a 6-1 win Friday afternoon over Lubbock Christian at the ASU Tennis Complex.
The Belles clinched the double point with a position-two win for
Eva Schwartz and
Mieke Van Deventer 6-1 and a position-three win by
Dianela Rodriguez and
Letizia Corsini 6-1.
The Belles started singles play off strong with a win in line one 6-1, 6-2 by Rodriguez and a line two win by Corsini 6-4, 7-5. Schwartz in line three also emerged victorious with a score of 6-1, 6-2 as well as
Christine Jevicky with a 7-5, 6-1 win in line four.
Ramitha Irrinki won line six with a score of 6-1, 6-3 to end the match.
The Belles continue LSC action with another match tomorrow at home against Midwestern State.
