SAN ANGELO, Texas- The Angelo State Women's Tennis team wins another LSC match, this time beating Midwestern State Saturday afternoon at the ASU Tennis Complex.
The Belles clinched the double point with a position-two win for
Eva Schwartz and
Mieke Van Deventer 6-2 and a position-three tiebreaker win by
Dianela Rodriguez and
Letizia Corsini 7-6 and 7-4.
The Belles started singles play off strong with a win in line one by
Dianela Rodriguez 7-5, 6-1.
Eva Schwartz won in three sets on line three 6-3, 1-6, 6-1, while
Christine Jevicky won line four in a tiebreaker with a 6-3, 7-6, 5-3.
Ayda Guler was able to get a quick point by winning line five 6-4, 6-1 as well as
Ramitha Irrinki inline six with a 7-6, 7-5 win with a 3-1 tiebreaker.
The Belles are back in action next weekend with a match at St. Marys Saturday and a Sunday match against Our Lady of the Lakes.
