SAN ANGELO, Texas– The Angelo State women's tennis team beats Ouachita Baptist 7-0 Friday afternoon at home in the final non-conference match.
The Belles won the doubles point with a 6-3 win in line one by
Ayda Guler and
Ramitha Irrinki and a 6-1 win in line three by
Dianela Rodriguez and
Letizia Corsini.
The Belles swept the singles with
Letizia Corsini winning the top spot 6-1, 7-6, with an 8-3 tiebreak.
Eva Schwartz scored a point in position two winning 6-2, 6-1 while
Christine Jevicky grabbed a quick point 6-1, 6-1 in line three.
Ayda Guler pushed hard in her tiebreaker to win position four 5-7, 6-1, 14-12.
Ramitha Irrinki stays undefeated in singles winning her line 6-1, 6-0.
Esther Bowers appeared in line six winning 6-2, 6-1.
The Belles are back at it Sunday at noon to play Texas A&M-Kingsville in the first Lone Star Conference match.
