SAN ANTONIO, Texas- The No. 22-ranked Angelo State women's tennis team took down Our Lady of the Lakes Sunday afternoon 7-0 at the Blossom Tennis Center in San Antonio.
The Rambelles are currently 13-4 on the season with only four more matches to go in the regular season.
The Belles won the doubles point giving the Belles a 1-0 lead. The pair of
Ayda Guler and
Ramitha Irrinki won the doubles line one 7-5.
Eva Schwartz and
Mieke Van Deventer won line two 6-0 and
Letizia Corsini and
Dianela Rodriguez won 6-1 in line three.
The Belles were undefeated against the Saints, winning all six singles matches.
Dianela Rodriguez won line one 6-2, 6-0 while
Letizia Corsini won line two 6-1, 6-0.
Eva Schwartz had a quick match when she won line three 6-0, 6-0.
Christine Jevicky won position four 6-3, 7-6 with an 8-2 tiebreaker.
Ayda Guler also won line five 7-6 with a 9-7 tiebreaker and 6-1.
Mieke Van Deventer scored the last point for the Belles when she won 6-2, 6-1 in line six.
The Belles are back in action next weekend with a pair of conference matches on the road against Western New Mexico on Saturday and UT Permian Basin on Sunday.
