SAN ANGELO, Texas – Postseason is official underway as the Angelo State women's golf team competes at the Lone Star Conference Championships running Apr. 24-26 at the WinStar Golf Club in Thackerville, Okla. as they battle for a place in the West Regional.
 
Maria Sierra Sanz, Patrizia Schaefer, Ozlyan Juarez, Skyler Strube and Laura Klimova will compete at the LSC Championships for the Rambelles.

Quick Hits:

• The Rambelles enter the LSC Championship as the eighth highest ranked team in the conference, but have an opportunity to make moves as they are within five spots of two squads (Texas A&M International, 36 and St. Mary's, 33).
• Midwestern State is right on the Rambelles heels, currently sitting two spots behind in 40^th.
• The Blue and Gold struggled at the LSC Championships last season in Glen Rose, finishing 11^th in the 15-team field.
• No member of the team finished in the top 30 individuals after three rounds of play on the Squaw Valley Golf Course.
• Most recently at the WT Desert Invite, Juarez led the Blue and Gold to a fourth-place finish with a fourth place finish herself.
• The Rambelles have finished in the top four in all of their tournaments in the spring season: Jack Brown Memorial, 4^th, Midwestern State Invitational, 2^nd, Kind Alfred Invitational, 1^st, WT Desert Invite 4^th.
• Sierra Sanz finished plus-1, 214 (72-72-70) at the King Alfred Invitational to capture her second individual championship of the season and her first this spring.
• The Rambelles also earned their first win of the year, finishing top of eight teams who competed at the King Alfred Invite in Tyler.
• The week prior, the Rambelles earned a second-place finish at the MSU Invitational, led by a great performance by Sierra Sanz who also finished second individually.
• Sierra Sanz, Schaefer, and Juarez finished as the top three for the Rambelles in each of their four tournaments during the fall schedule. Sierra Sanz and Juarez each finishing as the top performer twice.
• Sierra Sanz had the best individual round in the fall, shooting a 72 in the second round of the Swan Memorial.
• Juarez had the best two round total in fall, shooting a plus-5, 147 (73, 74) at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate.
• Sierra Sanz registered the best three round total, carding a plus-8, 224 (76, 73, 75) at the West Regional Preview.
• The Rambelles finished in the top three in three of the four tournaments they competed in, finishing runner up at the Concho River Classic.
• Sierra Sanz was the individual champion at the Concho River Classic, carding a 149 (76, 73) after two rounds of play.
