Pueblo, Colo. - The Angelo State women's golf team finalized their time at the West Regional Invite this afternoon, solidifying their 17th-place standing from yesterday's round of competition.
In the end, the Rambelles finished ahead of regional opponents Colorado Mesa, Fort Lewis, Western New Mexico, and Vanguard.Â
Christine Huse paced the Rambelles for the second-straight tournament, finishing 23rd in a field of 110 competitors. Huse shaved two strokes off her round one score, shooting 76 (+5).Â
Mia Clarke shaved ten strokes off her round one score, carding a 46th-place finish with a 15-overall.Â
Beth Norton shot an 84 (+13), finishing 83rd overall, and
Johanna Öhrling shot 25-over to finish 91st.Â
Ella Olivarez, in her first tournament action of her sophomore season, bounced back from a 23-over in round one by knocking a dozen strokes off her round two score, shooting an 82 (+11).
The Rambelles close out their fall schedule next week at the Midwestern State Invitational in Wichita Falls.
