THACKERVILLE, Okla. – At the conclusion of a tightly contested race for the final two medal match play positions, the Angelo State women's golf team came up just short, finishing three strokes out of the top four in seventh.
ROUND 3
- Patrizia Schaefer turned in a third round plus-1, 73 to finish top for the Blue and Gold in a tie for 10th, finishing even after three rounds.
- Maria Sierra Sanz finished right behind Schaefer after carding a plus-3, 75 to finish 12th individually.
- Skyler Strube had her best day by far, finishing plus-1, 73, as she climbed nine spots in the standings to finish in a tie for 41st.
- The Blue and Gold would turn in their worst round in the final round, carding a plus-12, 300 to finish plus-29 (893).
- Sierra Sanz was the second best on par-5s in Thackerville, shooting minus-7, while Schaefer was third best on par-4s, shooting plus-1.
- Strube holed an eagle for in the final round, she was one of only nine golfers to eagle during the 54 holes.
