SAN ANGELO, Texas- The Angelo State women's tennis team heads to San Antonio to play St. Mary's in the first round of the NCAA DII South Central Regional Monday, May 1
st at 1 p.m.

The Rambelles are 19-5 on the season and are coming off a loss against St. Mary's in the Lone Star Conference Tournament Championship match.

The Belles and Rattlers have met seven times in program history, twice this season. The Rattlers have won six out of the seven matches, with the Belles winning once at home in 2021.

In the LSC Tournament Championship against StMU, the Belles were able to clinch the doubles point with a win on line two by
Eva Schwartz and
Mieke Van Deventer 6-4.
Letizia Corsini and
Dianela Rodriguez also won in doubles on line three 6-4.
Ramitha Irrinki won line five in singles 6-1, 6-2 for the final Belles point of the match as the Rattlers captured the crown 4-2.

With the ITA National Rankings coming out earlier this week the Belles moved up to 15
th. Rodriguez also moved up in the rankings and is now seventh in singles in all of DII with a 17-4 record on line one. Corsini is now ranked 55
th in the nation with a 16-6 record across lines one and two in singles. The pair of Rodriguez and Corsini are also doubles partners with a 15-5 record to this point of the season.
