KINGSVILLE, Texas - The Angelo State women's tennis team opened their season this weekend at the Javelina Jam to open the fall schedule.
 
Senior Ayda Guler took second place in Flight E Singles, while Mieke Van Deventer also took second In Flight C Singles.
 
Eva Schwartz placed third in the Flight B Singles, and Letizia Corsini took third place in Flight A Singles.
 
Avery Durham placed fourth in Flight D. 
 
All double pairings made it to the third-fourth place match in their flights before the tournament got called for weather.
 
The Rambelles are back in action next week in Dallas to participate in the ITA South Central Regional Championships.
