No. 15 Belles Defeat Falcons in Four Sets

Odessa, Texas – Three members of the Angelo State volleyball team – Adeline Ortman, Evelyn Torres, and Madi Parrish – recorded double-doubles as the Rambelles left the Falcon Dome with a four-set win on Wednesday evening over UT Permian Basin.

A tight contest saw the first three sets decided by 25-23 scorelines, with the Belles taking the first two sets before the hosts staved off the sweep by taking set three. The Belles took set four by a 25-19 scoreline.

A very even match saw the Belles hit .243 and the hosts hit .247. Both teams scored exactly 74 points each and had 61 kills.

Ortman had 46 assists as well as 12 digs and a pair of blocks for her double-double.

Torres led all players with 20 kills while hitting .302; she matched Ortman's dig total with 12.

Parrish had 15 kills and a pair of service aces as she was one of four Belles to record precisely 12 digs in the match.

Freshmen Sydney Thornton and Demi Carter each had nine kills; Thornton only committed two errors as she hit .389 and led the Belles with five blocks.

Ireland Ferguson joined her teammates as having 12 digs in the match.
