Waddington Collects 400th Career Win; No. 13 Belles Sweep Cameron

SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State volleyball team extended their winning streak to ten matches as they completed the sweep over Cameron on Friday evening inside the Junell Center – Stephens Arena. The win also saw head coach Chuck Waddington claim the 400th win of his prolific career.

The Rambelles took set one 25-19, set two 25-15, and cruised in set three with a 25-11 victory.

The Belles hit .265 on the night and held Cameron to a .045 mark, the lowest an opponent has hit against the Rambelles this season.

The Belles doubled the visitors in points (55-27) and outkilled them 48-26. The Belles also recorded 74 digs to the Aggies' 59 in the three sets.

Madi Parrish led all players with 11 kills, hitting .250, and recorded a new season high with 16 digs.

Evelyn Torres was one kill shy of a double-double with nine kills and ten digs. She hit .276 for the match.

Cate Boldrick had eight kills and led the team with a .500 attack percentage. Boldrick also led the team with five blocks. Demi Carter had seven kills and three blocks.

Kaila Garnett had five kills, all coming in the third set, while Hannah Spencer had three, and freshmen Taryn Barnes and Julia Hopkins had two kills each.

Adeline Ortman matched the Aggies' assist total (26) in only two sets. Libero Caleigh Enax led all players with 21 digs, her tenth match with 20 or more digs this season.

The Rambelles improve to 22-2 on the season and 12-1 in LSC play. They close out their weekend tomorrow afternoon against Oklahoma Christian, who are coming off a four-set win over Lubbock Christian.
