SAN ANGELO, Texas - On a night that saw the Rambelles shoot just 20 percent from three-point range, the Angelo State women's basketball team fell just short to Eastern New Mexico, falling 60-55 Thursday at the Greyhound Arena in Portales.
The Rambelles fall to 15-7 on the season and are now 9-4 in Lone Star Conference play. The Greyhounds improve to 7-12 and 3-10 in conference.
40 MINUTE RUNDOWN
- Sawyer Lloyd scored back-to-back buckets to give the Rambelles a 6-4 lead at the 7:09 marker.
- A three by Landry Morrow would hit a three-pointer to extend the Belles lead to 4, 11-7 at the 6:16 marker.
- It was back and forth for the rest of the quarter until Madeline Stephens and Madisen Honea would hit back-to-back layups to give the Rambelles a 20-16 lead going into the second quarter.
- Back-to-back layups by Lloyd at the 6:10 marker would give the Rambelles a 28-20 lead.
- The Rambelles would only score four points in the last four minutes, all on free throws to bring its lead to 32-29 at halftime.
- Eastern New Mexico would score seven points to start the quarter to take a 36-34 lead.
- At the 6:32 marker, Aicha Ndir would knock down a layup to bring the greyhound's lead to one, 37-36.
- After a three by Lloyd at the 2:15 marker, the Rambelles would recapture the lead 43-41.

- At the 7:53 marker in the final quarter of action, the Rambelles would regain the lead 47-45.
- The Rambelles would trail for the rest of the quarter until a three-pointer by Madeline Stephens brought the Greyhounds lead to one, 56-55.
