Rambelles Dominate Offensively and Defensively to Down Cameron 88-52

San Angelo, Texas - After a complete performance on both ends of the floor, the Angelo State women's basketball team downed Cameron 88-52 in the Junell Center / Stephens Arena Thursday evening. 
 
The Rambelles improve to 18-8 on the season and 12-5 in Lone Star Conference play. While the Aggies fall to 9-15 overall and 7-11 in LSC action.
 
40 MINUTE RUNDOWN
  • Madi Lumdsen, Madeline Stephens, Keniah Williams, and Landry Morrow got things going for the Rambelles, who started the game on an 11-0 run.
  • The Aggies would go on a 9-2 run to bring the deficit to 13-6 with 3:55 remaining in the first quarter. 
  • Back-to-back buckets from Sawyer Lloyd would give the Belles a 16-9 advantage.
  • A three-ball by Madisen Honea would give the Rambelles a 21-15 lead going into the second quarter of action.
  • Keniah Williams would score the first four points in the quarter, giving the Rambelles a 25-15 lead with 7:26 remaining before the half.
  • A three from Katie King at the 4:07 marker would bring the Rambelles lead to three, 29-26.
  • Madisen Honea would score the last points of the half for the Belles, giving them a 37-30 lead going into halftime.
  • Lloyd would start the scoring for the Rambelles in the second half, knocking down a three to give the Rambelles a 40-30 lead to begin the half.
  • A layup from Stephens would give the Rambelles a 13-point lead, 47-34, going with 6:19 remaining.
  • Lloyd would hit get a steal, and score to give the Rambelles a 20-point lead 56-36 with 3:40 remaining in the third quarter.

  • A Layup from Madisen Honea would give the Rambelles an 88-52 victory over the Cameron Aggies.

  • Keniah Williams would have a career day, scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds, which were career highs, while also having five blocks.
  • Lloyd would record her six double-double of the year, recording 22 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, and two steals.
  • Stephens would have the third double-double of the night, scoring 10 points, gathering 15 rebounds and six assists. 
  • Madisen Honea would round up the double-digit scorers, scoring a career-high 14 points with one rebound and one steal.
  • The Rambelles shot 48 percent (36-75) from the field, 30 percent (9-30) from beyond the arc, and 100 percent from the free throw line.
  • The Blue and Gold outrebounded the Aggies 54-32.
  • The offense and defense were clicking for the Blue and gold with 29 assists, eight blocks, and nine steals. 
  • This is the second game this year that the Rambelles have had the league throughout the whole entire contest.
  • The Belles would record 48 paint points compared to the 16 of the Aggies.
