Women's Tennis Will Burrow, Assistant Director of Athletic Communications

No. 12 Rambelles Sweep Emporia State 7-0

Orlando, Florida - The No.12 Rambelles continue its strong run of form as they swept Emporia State 7-0 this afternoon.
 
Ayda Guler and Letizia Corsini keep things rolling at No.2 doubles as they beat Paige Stranghoner and Lilie Bizouerne 6-3 to improve to 11-0 as a pairing. 
 
Mieke Van Deventer and Alexandra Vishnevskaya clinched the doubles point for the Rambelles as they defeated Perla Conde and Sherdian Wichman. 6-3 at No.3 Doubles to improve to 4-0 on the season.
 
The 19th-ranked doubles team Eva Schwartz and Avery Durham defeated Giovanna Ferreira and Anastasia Pesic 6-2 at No.1 Doubles.
 
Christine Jevicky got things started at line four to continue her strong singles form as she defeated Angelina Gnezdilova 7-5, and 6-0 to claim the second point for the Rambelles. 
 
Letizia Corsini continues her unbeaten streak as she defeated Perla Conde Vendrell 7-6, 6-3 to secure the third point for the Rambelles and improved to 9-0 in singles play this year.
 
Ayda Guler clinched the match for the Rambelles as she defeated Anastasia Pesic at line five 7-6, 6-2 to give the Blue and Gold the fourth point of the day.
 
In her third singles match of the year, Avery Durham overcame the first set and won the match in straight sets 6-7, 6-1, 10-4 over Paige Stranghoner to get the fifth point for the Rambelles.
 
Eva Schwartz claimed the sixth point for the Rambelles as she won set one to Giovanna Ferreira 7-6, then lost set two 6-1, winning the match on set three 13-11.
 
Jessica Li clinched the sweep for the Rambelles as she defeated Lilie Bizouerne 7-6, 6-3.
 
The No. 12 Rambelles will return to action on Mar.15th as they will face off against Slippery Rock at 11:30 a.m.
