San Angelo, Texas - The Angelo State women's tennis team defeated No.24 Cameron 4-3 to move to 2-0 in Lone Star Conference play.
At No 3. Doubles,
Mieke Van Deventer and Alexandra defeated Martyna Janowska and Lea Manga 6-0. As a doubles team, they move to 5-0.
The No. 21-ranked tennis team defeated Vasilisa Polunova and Anastasia Uspenskaia 7-5 to earn the Rambelles the doubles point.
The Pairing of
Ayda Guler and
Letizia Corsini moved to 12-0 with the victory over Kateryna Rudenko and Jenna Goessel.
Mieke Van Deventer fell to Anastasia Uspenskaia 6-2, 6-3 on court six, tying the match 1-1.
The freshman
Jessica Li would get the Rambelles back in front 2-1 with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Kateryna Rudenko.
Christine Jevicky continued her run of form, getting the better of Martyna Jankowska, winning 6-1, 6-2 on court four. This move moved her to 10-1 in singles action and gave the Rambelles a 3-1 lead.
Letizia Corsini continued her undefeated streak as she defeated Vasilisa Polunova 6-4, 7-6 to move to 11-0 in singles action and clinch the match for the Blue and Gold.
Jenna Goessel would get the best of
Eva Schwartz 2-6, 6-2, 10-7 to give a point for the Aggies.
Lea Manga defeated
Ayda Guler 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 on court five, making the final score 4-3 in favor of the Rambelles.
