No.13 Rambelles Sweep the Mustangs 7-0 on Senior Day

San Angelo, Texas - The No. 13 Rambelles extended their undefeated streak to six matches as they defeated the Mustangs 7-0 on senior day.
 
With the victory, the Rambelles move to 16-2 overall and 6-1 in conference action. The Mustangs fall to   1-19 overall and 0-9 in conference.
 
The pairing of Ayda Guler and Letizia Corsini got things going on the right foot for the Rambelles as they won the first doubles match on court 1, 6-1, over the Pairing of Andreea Aranutu and Mann Ning Li and moving their doubles record to 15-2.
 
Mieke Van Deventer and Alexandra Vishnevskaya would clinch the doubles at No.3 doubles, winning 6-0, improving their doubles to 9-1 overall, and giving the Blue and Gold a 1-0 advantage. 
 
The No. 19th ranked pairing of Avery Durham and Eva Schwartz would continue their strong form as they would win 6-2 at No.1 doubles.
 
Letizia Corsini would continue her dominance in singles play this season, defeating Olivia Leite in straight sets 6-3, 6-0 to move to 16-0 overall and give the Rambelles a 2-0 lead.
 
Christine Jevicky would continue her run of form extending her winning streak to 12 matches as she would defeat Andreaa Aranutu in straight sets 6-0, 6-0 to give the Rambelles a 3-0 lead.
 
Ayda Guler, on senior day, would give her best performance of the year, defeating An Montero Villegas 6-1, 6-0 on line five and clinching the victory for the Rambelles.
 
Alexandra Vishnevskaya would be honored before the match on senior day, and then would go on to defeat Gabriella Blumberg 6-4, 6-2 to give the Rambelles a 5-0 advantage.
 
The Freshman in the lineup, Jessica Li, would continue to lock down No. 3 singles as she would get the best of Caini Wang in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2, to give the Rambelles a 6-0 advantage.
 
The No.59th ranked singles player Eva Schwartz clinches the sweep for the Rambelles as she would get the best of Mann Ning Li 6-3, 6-5 (7-5) to secure the sweep and extend the win streak vs. Western New Mexico to six straight matches.
 
The No. 13 Rambelles return to action tomorrow in their final home game of the year as they host UT Permian Basin, with first serve scheduled for 11:00 am.
