San Angelo, Texas - The Angelo State women's basketball team opened their home schedule with a, 74-62, victory over West Texas A&M inside the Junell Center - Stephens Arena Thursday evening.
With the victory the Rambelles move to 11-3 overall, and tied for the lead with a 7-1 overall record in Lone Star Conference action. The Lady Buffs fall to 10-5 overall and 4-4 in LSC play.
40 MINUTE RUNDOWN
- The Rambelles opened the game on a 6-0 run hitting on three consecutive layups from Peyton Stellato, Keniah Williams, and Madeline Stephens.
- The Blue and Gold knocked down a three at the 2:49 marker from Addy Burns to give the Rambelles their first double-digit lead, 16-5.
- Burns scored the first quarter's final two points, giving the Rambelles a 15-point lead, 20-5, going into the second quarter of action.
- Burns would hit back-to-back threes to give the Rambelles a 30-12 lead with 4:24 remaining until halftime.
- The Belles went into halftime with a 32-21 lead after Kyla Kane of West Texas A&M knocked down two threes in the last minute to narrow the deficit to 11.
