No. 12 Rams Fall to Texas A&M-Kingsville on the Road

KINGSVILLE, Texas – The No. 12 Angelo State football team dropped its second straight game of the 2025 season, falling 24-19 to Texas A&M-Kingsville on Saturday night at Pepsi Field at Javelina Stadium.

With the loss, the Rams move to 4-2 overall and 2-2 in Lone Star Conference play.

Angelo State struck first, capping a 13-play opening drive with a 25-yard field goal from Rance Purser. The Javelinas answered quickly, needing just four plays to reach the end zone and take the lead.

In the second quarter, Braeden Fuller connected with Donny Bishop in the corner of the end zone to put the Rams back in front. A late TAMUK field goal tied the game at 10 heading into halftime.

Fuller ended the night completing 19 of his 34 passing attempts for 164 yards with the aforementioned touchdown and an interception.

The Javelinas pulled ahead in the second half, scoring two touchdowns around a 26-yard field goal by Purser.

Angelo State made a push late in the fourth quarter as Kaeden Smith found Corey Sandolph for a 4-yard touchdown. But the ensuing onside kick was recovered by TAMUK, sealing the win.

The Rams return home next Saturday, Oct. 18, for Homecoming at LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Field, where they'll face Midwestern State.
