PORTALES, N.M. - The Rambelles got back in the win column as they defeated Eastern New Mexico 1-0 on Wednesday evening in Portales, New Mexico.

With the victory, the Rambelles improve to 7-3-4 overall and 6-2-2 in conference action. The Rambelles have not lost to Eastern New Mexico since 2014 and haven't allowed a goal to the Greyhounds since 2016.Â

 In the first five minutes of action,
Sanai Stewart would record the first shot, which ended up being saved by diving Roise Joyce Willmott.

In the 20th minute, the Rambelles would be rewarded with a free kick, where
Christina Clark sent it into the box. Vick would cross the ball through the box, where it would connect with
Lexi Gonzales' right foot, hitting the goal post and rolling to the other side of the goal before finally crossing the line to give the Rambelles an early 1-0 advantage.

The Rambelles would have a second really good chance as the first half drew to a close.
Jillian Greaves would receive a cross that she would end up hitting the crossbar, and the ball would end up being saved by the Greyhounds goalkeeper.
