RICHARDSON, Texas - Senior Goalkeeper Melyna Martinez was named the Lone Star Conference Goalkeeper of the Week for the third time this season for her performances against Eastern New Mexico and UTPB, recording two shutouts with three saves in the contests.
 
In the match against Eastern New Mexico, she recorded one save. In the match against UTPB, she recorded two saves, thanks to the stifling defense of the Blue and Gold.
 
Martinez has recorded seven shutouts in the last eight matches. Martinez leads the conference with nine shutouts on the season. Martinez is fourth in the conference with an .845 save percentage. 
 
Martinez has not allowed a goal in the last 180 minutes of action.
 
The Rambelles are back in action on Wednesday against UT Dallas with kick-off scheduled for 5:30 inside the LeGrand Soccer Complex.
