Melyna Martinez was named the Lone Star Conference Goalkeeper of the Week for the second time this season for her performances against Sul Ross State and West Texas A&M, recording two shutouts with seven saves over the two contests.
In the match against Sul Ross State, she recorded three saves. In the match against WT, she had four saves, thanks to the stifling defense of the Blue and Gold.
Martinez leads the conference with five shutouts. Martinez has recorded a shutout in half the contests this season and has recorded 37 saves, the fourth most in the conference.
Martinez has not allowed a goal in her last 260 minutes of action.
The Rambelles are back in action on Saturday against St. Mary's with kick-off scheduled for 1 p.m. inside the LeGrand Soccer Complex.
