Rambelles Golf Signs Ava Key and Maia Than

SAN ANGELO – Angelo State women's golf coach Barb Odale announces the signing of two student-athletes – Ava Key and Maia Than – who will be joining the Rambelles golf program for the 2026-27 season.

Key, a product of Caddo Mills, Texas, was a District 13-4A First Team All-District selection as a junior. She was also a Region 2 qualifier and qualified for the UIL state tournament, where she finished 15th.

From Da Nang, Vietnam, Than becomes the first Southeast Asian student-athlete in school history. She is the second Asian student-athlete to play any sport at Angelo State, joining current freshman tennis player Danaiya Amangazhiyeva from Kazakhstan.

Than, who has trained with the Vietnam National Golf team, has recorded seven top-ten finishes across 12 events in 2025.
