Alpine, Texas – The Angelo State men's basketball team dropped its non-conference game to Sul Ross State on Thursday evening inside the Gallego Center by a score of 60-47.
The Rams offense struggled to get anything going, only shooting 30.2 percent from the field and 15 percent from three.
Conversely, the Lobos shot 43.8 percent from the field and 36.8 percent from three.
Quadir Pettaway led the Rams in scoring with 12 points, while
Jesaiah McWright had nine points and
Zyon Little added eight points and seven rebounds in 19 minutes off the bench.
Jordan Crawford (seven rebounds) and
Jordan Crawford (six rebounds) helped the Rams out-rebound the Lobos, and
Ja'Queze Kirby's four steals paced the Rams as they forced the hosts into 20 turnovers.
The Rams are 5-1 on the season and look to bounce back on Monday against Texas A&M International in Laredo.
