Rambelles Falter in Road Test Against No. 2 Gorillas

PITTSBURG, Kan. – The Angelo State women's basketball program couldn't keep pace after halftime, falling 66-46 to No. 2 Pittsburg State on Sunday afternoon to close out the month of November.

With the loss, the Rambelles drop to 1-4 on the season.

Angelo State traded blows with the Gorillas through a competitive first half and trailed by just four at the break. But Pittsburg State pulled away in the final 20 minutes, outscoring ASU by 16 to seal the outcome.

Keniah Williams notched her second double-double of the season, finishing with 15 points and 11 rebounds to go along with a block and a steal.

Off the bench, Majik Esquivel added eight points, two rebounds and two steals. Taylor Grona and Landry Morrow combined for 13 points, 13 rebounds and five steals.

The Rambelles open Lone Star Conference play on Wednesday, traveling to Midwestern State for a 5:30 p.m. tipoff.
