Murray Scores 31 as the Rams Complete Comeback over Dustdevils

SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State men's basketball team, which trailed by six points at the half to Texas A&M International, completed the comeback over the Dustdevils, winning 78-77 on Monday afternoon inside the Junell Center/Stephens Arena.

Jaqai Murray led all players with 31 points on 11-for-16 shooting from the field. Murray made nine of his 13 free-throw attempts and grabbed nine rebounds.

He is the first Ram to score more than 30 points in a game since Keyshawn Embery-Simpson scored 37 against Western New Mexico on February 3rd, 2024.

As a team, the Rams shot 50 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from three-point range. They also out-rebounded the Dustdevils 29-27.

Jordan Crawford scored a season-high 16 points, his third-straight game in double digits. He shot 6-for-11 from the field and assisted twice.

Kailon Nicholls and Davon Scott scored ten points each. Nicholls made four of his seven shots and led the team with four helpers and two steals, and Scott made three of the Rams' five three-pointers.

The Rams are 9-3 on the season and 1-2 in LSC play. They take a break from LSC action to compete in the Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic this weekend in Sin City.
