Rams Fall to No. 12 West Liberty in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS – The Angelo State men's basketball team stumbled in its first game at the Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic, falling to 12th-ranked West Liberty 101-79 inside South Point Arena.

The Rams, who ended the first half with a one-point lead, shot 54.8 percent from the field in the first half before struggling from the field after halftime, shooting 39.3 percent.

The Hilltoppers made 16 of their 22 shots from the field in the second half and went 17-for-18 from the free-throw line.

Six Rams scored in double figures, led by Jaqai Murray's 18 points and seven rebounds.

Jordan Crawford scored 14 points, grabbed five rebounds, and assisted seven times. He accounted for nearly half of the Rams' 15 assists.

Jhordan Ryan tallied a season-high 12 points on 5-for-7 shooting from the field, also securing five rebounds and blocking a shot in 18 minutes off the bench.

Zyon Little, Davon Scott, and Ashraf Barsham each added ten points. Little led the Rams with eight rebounds and two steals, and Scott made three three-pointers and nabbed a pair of steals.

The Rams are now 9-4 on the season and 1-2 in LSC play. They close out their 2025 schedule tomorrow in Las Vegas against Hawaii Hilo.
