Women's Tennis Will Burrow, Assistant Director of Athletic Communications

No. 15 Rambelles Takes on No. 21 Southern Arkansas

SAN ANGELO, Texas - The Angelo State women's tennis team continues their road trip as they take on Southern Arkansas on Mar. 1st.

Head Coach Jason Potthoff looks to start his third spring season strong after making it to the round of 16 last year for the first time in school history. Belles tennis is currently ranked 15th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Poll.
 
The Belles are coming into the contest 7-0 after defeating Ouachita Baptist 5-2, and Arkansas Tech 4-0. 
 
The Muleriders are coming into the contest 0-3 after losing to Central Arkansas twice and dropping their last contest to West Florida 5-2.
 
The Belles are 2-1 all-time against Southern Arkansas, dropping their last contest 4-2 on Feb.10th, 2024. 
 
The Belles are 30-9 in singles play with freshman Margaux Rene leading the way starting her collegiate career 7-0. 
 
In doubles play, the Belles are 13-5 overall, led by the No.3 ranked doubles pairing, Avery Durham and Eva Schwartz, who are currently 4-1.
 
Sophomore Ivet Stancheva was named the Player of the Week for her performances against Central Oklahoma and No. 25 Missouri Western.
